My character development is on Justin a member of the jock tribe. He is also a member of the football team and really likes to show it. He is a very broad guy and does not mind beating the odd guy up. Justin stands up for himself, his build and features help him out. He has a high forehead, thick skull, gray eyes and a big head. Throughout the novel he shows vast majorities of change for the better of the people.
At the start of Tribes Justin seems almost confused and hurts people to make himself feel better. Justin beat up Percy because he blurted out that he is a asshole. His smart remark was, "hey, Percy, what's Freak Girl like in the sack?" He seems to be really good at getting under people's skin and making them feel bad about themselves. Later on in the book we see Justin growing up. I believe he now realizes that there is more to life than what tribe you're in, or what friends you have. At graduation he actually states, "Bald is beautiful." This was a conversation starter on Percy's new haircut. Even though Percy was shocked at what a change he realized that everyone must grow up at some point, and realize what is really important. I beleive that in the book, "Tribes" Justin has the most dramatic change for the better.
